Laura Swarthout, Milo Town Clerk

Laura Swarthout has proudly served the residents of Yates County local government since 2022 and currently serves as the Town of Milo Clerk and Registrar. Previously, she served as Deputy Clerk for both the Town of Milo and the Town of Jerusalem, where she also supported the Zoning Board of Appeals.

With more than 15 years of experience in management, customer service, and administration, Laura brings professionalism, organization, and a commitment to exceptional public service. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and mass media Studies at Edinboro University.

Laura is dedicated to maintaining accurate public records, providing responsive service, and ensuring the Town Clerk's office remains efficient, accessible, and accountable.

Laura and her husband, Jeffrey, a United States Air Force veteran and lifelong Penn Yan resident, are raising their son, Theodore, in the Town of Milo, where they are proud to call home.
